Hi,
I have an unusual situation.
My AOS was pending for more than 180 days, then company
fired me effective 11/30/01. I got a job starting 01/13/02,
attorney from old company did not revoke I140 and did not
file AC21 letter and I didn't have time since AOS got approved
on 01/23/02.
Now its time to apply for citizenship
. Do you think not
filing AC21 letter will be a problem? My case is perfectly covered
by AC21 (AOS pending > 180 days, intention to work with
company but they fired me, same area (I'm a PhD) and am
now doing research at a university). But I nor Lawyer did
not file AC21 letter.
1. Does the INS even acknowledge you AC21 letter?
2. How will the officer adjuciating my citizenship case know if AC21
was filed?
3. Was it compulsory to file AC21 letter around 01/2002?
Thanks.
