AC21 and Salary Question

I got laidoff recently, I got a job in another company and they are offering me 4.8% less than my LC Salary. Job title and description are similar/same. My labor was filed in Dec 2000. Both my last job and current job is in the same location. Searched through this forum and found responses both +ve and -ve related to less salary. Wanted to know if there are any such cases which are approved/rejected already. Any thoughts/comments would really help me.

shouldn't be a problem. Never heard of any denials on the ground of such small difference in salary.

How about 19% increase in the base salary ?
The new job is in the same area, same description,
but job title is different : senior position vs entry level.

Both situations (lower and higher salary), shouldn't be a problem. The AC21 seems to have clarified the waters on that one. So I wouldn't be worried if I were you.

The change in title seems to be a logical progression commensurate with experience and education, so not a problem there as well.
