AC21 and Citizenship

Hi,

I used AC21 to change employer when teh first fired me.
I did not inform the INS of the change of job, but I
got the GC anyway. I've worked for the new company
for nearly 5 years and its time to file for citizenship.

Will there be any repurcussions for using AC21 but
not formally informing the INS?

-- I dont know your case details. better to file for citizenship AFTER 5 years +5-6 months late from the date of GC approval. Check the approval date on Card. On citizenship form you only need to write 5 years history of employement. remember they check the full I-485 file at the time of Interview.

thats a good idea!!!
give it a year and dont rush and apply with 5 year history!!

keep in touch ,.............. there are a lot of folks in this forum in the same boat as you - mostly folks who were ready to file ac-21 after swithching jobs - but just got their GC approved with the previous company!!!
