Hi CP Gurus,

Please help, I am applying for I140 and am frm Mumbai.
1) is AC140 Process still going on in Mumbai or has it been stopped?
2) Do i have to indicate in I140 Petition, that i am going for CP? or it doesn\'t matter?

Please help me out for making some critical decision here.

If you have not yet applied for I-140 then just include CP as your option in I-140 itself

That way, you don\'t have to do AC140. The AC140 is for people whose I140 was approved for adjustment of status.

Thanks for the reply, but with AC140 i will being saving some time correct? as it needs only the receipt of I824 not an approved I824.
Want to double confirm this.

There is some doubt about AC I140 with newest regulations from DOS.
It seems it will continue, but maybe you want to contact the consulate directly to make sure.

When you do so, please update everybody!
 
Go for Cp in your 140 itself

If you mention CP in your 140, then you do not even have to apply for 824. I824 is needed only when you applied for AOS and later on want to go for CP. AC 140 means "Attorney Certified I-140". If your 140 is for CP, you dont need your attorney to certify your 140. If you have any doubt on AC140, email me at aneetgc@yahoo.com. I am doing AC 140 and my interview is on 17th of next month.

can we switch to AC140 once 140 approved for CP ? Wonder if I can do this now instead of going through new process for CP(eliminating packet systems etc.)
 
Eliminating the NVC Process

Exactly, thats what i want to do too. Eliminating to wait for NVC to send Packet3 to consulate which might take 6-7 months. Doing AC140 might eliminate that extra months going through NVC. But still dont know if Mumbai Consulate is still accepting AC140 or not?

If your I140 is approved for CP, you cannot do AC I140.

If you are interested in AC I140 to save time (which is the way to go!) you want to contact Mumbai directly and make sure that they are still accepting AC I140 with recent NVC/process changes.

Please update the forum on you findings, so others can learn from it.
 
AC-140 possible if 140 was approved for CP.

U can go for AC-140 even if 140 was approved for CP.

Just need a 824 receipt. This is what I know of sure for New delhi consulate.
