AC140 CP - time frame for interview?

Hello,

My lawyer is going to finally send the application for CP (AC140) latest by first week of June to Mumbai consulate. I am trying to figure out when can I expect to get an interview, if things go smooth? I will be in India from mid July to mid Aug and if things are going to work out by then, I can plan on extending my stay by anothe 3-4 weeks or so, to make it to the interview, if required. How practical is it?

I tried to get an idea from cptracker.com, but there is no explicit group of AC140 cases? What's your experience? Any ideas/comments?

Assuming all goes well, based on the answers I have seen on immigration forums, I think it takes about 2 1/2 months (+/ - 15 days) from the time Mumbai acknowledges receipt of the AC I-140 papers that you can expect an interview. Obviously this is a guesstimate since I am doing regular CP not AC I-140.

Is there a phone number at St.Louis where one can call to find out whether they've received/encashed the fee cashier's check.. and notified NVC..

regular CP time frame

About 6-7 months.
