AC-21 salary tolerance

Hello:

I found out today that the substitution LC used had around 80K mentioned as the salary. The LC was filed for someone working in the valley in 1999 when the salaries were rocket high. I am currently in a small town in Florida and am thinking of taking up a state government job that pays pennies compared to 80K.

My question to you all is - should I take up the state job? Will exercising AC21 create problems if I receive an RFE later for I-485?

The job requirements are strikingly similar, so that does not pose a problem.

Please advise.

Regards,

Manish

Not to worry dude. Difference between 1999 and 2004 economy is huge so this salary thing is totally explainable. Unless you are making millions, that is. And in that case it would have to be another job too.

using similar job duties u can easily use AC21 to switch but too much less salary may raise eye brow . though AC21 is silent on this issue some stupid IIO may make it a big issue and then u will hv to fight it out to get the things done.

My Salary is about 80% high

Hi Gurus,
My salary at client where I took offer using AC 21 is 80% higher than my LC. My LC is from NC but my client is CA. IS this ok or is this going to create me a probelm. Client has given me same job title and duties.

Thanks in advance,
