AC-21 and quitting the job!!!

Need advice!

Gurus, I need your advice on this:

I got GC approved on 5/8/03 and stamping on 5/23. Upon consulting the lawyer, I was told that I can quit the job anytime and join any company. I want to take a second a opinion for safe side.

Also, he said, I can take 1099, if I want. I appreciate your opinions and experiences.

Thanks a lot for your advice and input.

Do you think it is ok, if I speak to my current employer(who sponsered GC) and leave in a good note with him, with his consent.

In other words, the trouble comes only when the employer complains? or even without that there is a possibility of enquiry at the time of Naturalization or before?

My attorney also said the same thing, but it is always a good idea to take your employer in confidence before changing the job, the problem can come only in case your employer complains about it, otherwise everything should be ok. Their are lots of discussions on this fourm and you will find different opinions on this issue.
