abt the work permit/I40 for H4 visa

I am on H4 visa right now..& our labor & I40 has being cleared..I am planning to do some job..In a private school I got a job offer but they asked me to submit the I 40 or Labor on my name..& They told me that When labor & I40 gets cleared My husband can apply for my I40..I wanted to know..has anyone have more information or any experience regarding these ..I would really appreciate for any help..

----- what do you mean by" OUR labor & I40 ??" It seems LC and I-140 was filed for your SPOUSE

------------- It seems the person in private school dont know ABC of immigration. how YOU can file your LC and I-140? one can file I-140 if you have EB1( extra ordinary Ability)

when your spouse file I-485 you will file I-485 and EAD once EAD gets approved you can work with EAD or the School should file H4 to H1 Change of status and once H1 is approved you can work.
