I left the US in 2020 and had strokes and cancer abroad, could not come back till 2022. Want to apply for citizenship, but looks like need 5 years no violation of residency rules. Green card for 10 years, live in the US since 1995. Is it possible to apply now for the citizenship under my medical conditions? If yes, what kind of papers as evidence would be acceptable (Hospital papers, surgeries etc - translated? Notorized? Apostille?).

An absence of more than 1 year definitely interrupts continuous residence (except for people working abroad for certain US or international organizations, who filed N-470; I'll assume that that doesn't applyl to you). If you have certain strong evidence of ties to the US during the last year of your absence, you have to wait until 4 years and 1 day after your return before you can apply for naturalization. Otherwise, you have to wait until 4 years and 6 months after your return before you can apply for naturalization.
