Full of twist and turns.......Here is my story.

1)Filed LC in May 19th 2000.
2)LC approved Dec 6th 2000 ( 6 months :) )
3)Company delayed filing I140 for 8 months. They were saying the attorney
firm is charging more they quoted.
4)I-140 filed in July 2001.
5)In the mean time my comp gone thru merger and comp name got changed.
6)RFE for I140 rvcd in May 2002 for company financial papers
Lawyer took 2 months to respond the RFE
7) After receiving the RFE response my I140 got approved on August 21, 2002. ( 1 week after receiving the response) I-140 process took 15 months.
8) My company still were using the old letterhead for emp. verification etc.
so lawyer suggest to file I485 without worrying about 140 amendment.
9) filed I485 on 09/19/02
10) I moved to NSC area. After giving change of address rcvd. fp notice in
15 days. FP done on 05/22/03. Results rcvd on 06/11/03
11) Changed employer on 06/09/03 using AC-21. Did not inform ins/uscis
12) after seeing ppl getting approval by sending expedite request i sent a fax on june 20th 2004
13). waited for 3 weeks and sent one more fax on july 8th 2004
14) waited for 2 weeks and sent 2 more ( 1 for each fax #.).
15) Sent 2 more ( 1 for each fax #) on Aug 4th.
16) Aug 5th, i received a letter from USCIS stating that my request for expediting the 485 process has been denied. ( but i had sent 2 more on the
previous day without knowing this).
17) Aug 6th 2004, at 4:15 i saw my LUD changed to today.
18) I started checking my case status for every 10 mins. 5:00 pm sharp
both case status got changed to approved.
19) after 15 mins i got the confirmation emails.

Great News!!!

Congratulations to both of you. What a wonderful way to end the week.

Enjoy your freedom........

Congratulations four80five. TSC is really crazy. What did they mean by "expediting the 485 process has been denied" when presumably in 1 week they approved

Congratulations four80five - enjoy!

It's interesting that they approved your application not one week after denying your request to expedite. I had a similar experience with our advance parole applications earlier this year in January (when it was taking up to 7 months to process). We actually received a letter in the mail stating that our request to expedite was denied a full week after our applications had already been approved - truly, the left hand does not know what the right is doing at TSC.
