Hi, everyone

After a long time of preparation, finaly I am about to bind the package and mail it out! Just before doing so, I want to make sure that I did everything right by myself:

1, Submit both 140 and 750B forms only?
2, Submit original recommendation letters and the copy of CVs from those references?
3,Submit the list of papers cited my publication only? Or I need to print out the part where it mentioned about my work?? And all publications in my contry are cited by the people there as well, besides all of them are in my native language a not in English, what should I do with these citations?

And I wish you guys can teach me how to bind all these materials/documents?

I really appreciate your time and help!!!

1: Yes, 140 and two copies 750B.
2: Yes, original recommendation letters and copies of CVs.
3: Provide a comprehensive list including your native country's publications but also print out complete copies of examples of citations where your work is discussed in some detail. Highlight this section.

INS likes to have the documents with two holes punched in the top of the page. I had bound mine using string as binder clips were not big enough. If you can use binder clips. I also used subject dividers to split up the different parts of the petition.

Make sure you provide full copies of all of your publications and, if possible, in you biblipgraphy add impact factor and number of citations for all of your publications.

Good luck

Publications

Make sure you provide full copies of all of your publications and, if possible.....

What about when the publication is a book or a conference paper? Is an abstract enough?

I am unfamiliar with using books etc. I would imagine if it is a chapter you could provide a copy of that chapter. If it is an entire book I would suggest in the cover letter that due to it's size you are unable to provide a copy with the petition. I think the abstract is sufficient as long as the officer understands that the original is much more substantial.

Thank you very much! Still filling the forms now, hopefully I can mail the package out by this weekend.

I am a post doctoral fellow right now in cancer research field.
I've got some questions regarding the I-140 form here:

1, Part 5, #3, in "occupation", what should we fill with? "life scientist?"

2, Part 6, #1 "Job title"--- it should be post doc or anything else?

3, Part 6, #2, "SOC" code--- "19-1099 Life Scientists, All Other" or "19-1029 Biological Scientists, All Other"???

4, Part 6, #3, "nontechnical description of job"-- what should I put there?

5, Part 1, "IRS tax #", is it same as SSN #?? If not, where can I get it?

Please let me know any of your thoughts. Thanks!

Hi,
I am filling up my I-140 and have similar questions:
I am working on a PhD in health sciences.

Part 5, #3, in "occupation", will "life scientist?" be correct

3, Part 6, #2, "SOC" code--- "19-1099 Life Scientists, will this be correct.
Please advice related to my work.

Also for ETA_750B, I found a form on the web for 3 pages.
Page 2 and page 3 in the form looks similar. Can someone please advice if I am looking at the correct form.
Thanks
PS: Eb1doc, thanks for answering my previous posts.

For the part 5 I would say: scientist - PhD Student, or junior scientist. What kind of description do you have in your contract?

You don't need to fill out the part 6 if you want to apply for NIW. NIW is about waiver of the job offer requirement.

Attached is the correct ETA 750B form.

I have finished filling the I-140, basically I put "N/A" or left them empty blank.
It is time to finish 750B form now. I have seen people talking about filing ETA 9089 instead of ETA 750B. Is this form necessary for NIW petition? Which one is the correct one to file nowadays? Thanks!!!

You have to fill out the ETA 750B form!!!

See: uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/eligibility2.htm

"If you are a worker with exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business, you may apply to waive the requirement that you have a job offer if such a waiver would be in the national interest. To apply for a national interest waiver, you must submit Department of Labor Form ETA-750B"

I have most of my papers ready now for NIW filling. In terms of filling, can I send all the papers (including I-140) to VSC by Fedex etc.... or do i need to e-file I-140. What is the difference between e-filling and paper filling other than time. Does anyone have any preference, please suggest
Thanks

Finally, I got forms done. :p

Can someone please tell me how to bind the whole package, about 100pages???

Thank you all!!!
