About medical examination (I-693)

Hi everyone,

does anyone know how long it will take to get the result of medical examination and how much it cost? someone told me it is about $300-400, is it true?

It shouldnt cost you $400. I got mine done for $150.00. Make sure to present your immunization/vaccination records (if you have them) when you go to get your exam done. Otherwise, it might cost you another $100 or so. If you are tested positive for TB (which is one of the tests they do), they would require you to get an X-ray to prove that you dont have active TB which might take an extra day or so.

I got my report in 2 days (add a day or 2 if your TB test comes positive). Its a good idea to get it done way ahead of time though.

It depends upon the location where are you getting it done. For me, it costed $160 including some vaccinations.

Do you guys know if only the applicant has to get the medical exam or both me and wife ??? And if so, can she get it done out of state, since she is there now ??? Please share. THanks

where are you? I am in NY. I only got three options from my zip code. and all of them seem more expensive.
 
I'm in phoenix and here i had choices from $500 to $150. There should be more options in your area than you mentioned. you can also go out of your zip code and get it done.

Only the applicant (the adjustee) needs med exam. You can do it anywhere, as long as the phisician is licensed to perform that exam by USCIS
