My first 3 year of H1 is expiring on Oct. 31st of this year. I am applying for the extension but my employer is asking for an extenion till December 31st of 2003. It is financial and they say that they have funding until December 31st, 2003. Therefore they can only ask for an extension till then.
My question is: If there is enough funding after December 2003, can I still apply for another extension of H1 status? I mean, can I still use the remaining time (approximately 2 years after Dec. 2003) if I am still employed? Or I loose the time since first extension was given only till Dec. 2003?
Any answer will be greatly appreciated ?
