about H1 beginning date issue

MY Company was applying H1 for me
we got the LCA approval last week

When my company filled ETA 9035, period of employment 's beginning date is OCT,2002.

My CPT will expire April,2003.

My question is what will decide the beginning Date of H1 visa.
can I change the beginning date to the end of this year when I fill
I 129?

I am in Mechanicsburg,PA (near harrisburg)
Anyone have any suggestion on green card application?

Yes, you can request for a future start date for your H1.
Suggestion about GC- Start it now.
