I need advice for TN please.
I want to apply for TN visa next month.
BS.C.S (from back home evaluated to 3 year Canadian community College Diploma.) + 6 months Post Graduate diploma from University of Toronto.
I have about 5 year experience in programming but no experience letter.

I was checking a US official site for requirements and found out that

1. visa officer require Experience letters from past work experiences and I do not have them.

2. It is required that the employer should send documents showing that the candidate meets the educational requirements and my employer has sent me only the Job offer letter and has done nothing else and asking me to go get the Visa.

What should be my next step?

HELP....

To my understanding you have to have 4 yrs under grad and 1+ year experience.

When i went there (july 2007, peace bridge) they didn't ask for experience letter but they looked at my resume. You employer will only send a TN letter and job offer. Be carefull if your job letter has some thing like "long term job prospects" or any other thing that might show that you will be working for more then 1 year. TN is temporary visa for one year.

Wish you all the best.

What is TN letter ?, is it TN visa application? can I download from the website my self and fill it up? check this form:

https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

Is employer supposed to send some documents directly to visa office?
My under graduate is from back home , not from here ? is it enough..?
How if officer asks for evaluation letter (which shows 3 year equivalent to Canadian under graduate education.)

Is your under graduate degree from Canada ??

Then I have two options

1. I should not present the equivalence letter and apply on the basis of my foreign Bachelors degree + experience shown in resume.

2. wait for my Post graduate diploma to finish from U of T and then apply for TN. Arrange experience letters from my past employers.

which one should I select ?

Thanks for helping me out , ... waiting for your reply....

They ask for equivalence letter for all foreign degrees, so 1 is not an option, except immigration officer is really dump, which is very rare.

2nd one makes more sense and it will get you thru without any problem, I am not sure if they ask for experience letter, they just look at your resume.

Also keep in mind about the job title.
