I filed GC application based on marriage. My question is :

1. what is A number?
2. when I can get a A number?
3. where does A number put on? ( I-94 card?)

Hi,

A number is your "Alien registration number". You can find it on the top of your application receipt.

my problem is I filed application on May. up to now, I havn't got any application receipt with number. I filed to NYC local office, only got a small piece of receipt about money that I sent to them, whick looks like a small grocery receipt.

Keep that small yellow grocery receipt that should have your Alien Registration number.. and it also serves as proof that you applied for the I485.
