abondonment of application?

Does anyone know the consequences if someone abandons their application for a green card, other than invalidating your application? We have tickets to leave the country and still haven't gotten the advance parole. Does it make it less likely they'll approve you if you reapply in the future, or can you reapply with the same chances????

thanks,
Lisa

Lisa,
If you have already worked on EAD, then no one can abandon your 485 other than YOU, as without AP you cannot re-enter USA. Merely applying AP doesnt put on you on status and your entire GC process is lost.

Incase if you have valid H1B stamped on passport and you are still on H1, then you are fine. Or else you are in soup!

having H1B stamped dosent ensure that somebody is in H1B status!
using EAD even once violates H1B. Lisa needs an AP to re enter US.
