Hi,

I am a GC holder and due to family matters consider to relo back to my home country for good (at least longer than the 2 years I could do with I-131). So I am considering abandoning my GC status using I-407. My questions are in regards to future travel / immigration to US.

1.) Will I have issues travelling to US in future (both business and personal). I am from a country which is part of the Visa Waiver program.

2.) Will it prevent me / make significantly more difficult of getting future non-immigrant visas (L, H etc), besides the 'normal' restrictions/conditions for those visas

3.) Will it possible to get a new GC (of course following the regular processes), either Employment based or family (my kids are US citizens, so who knows whats happening down the road...

Your input is appreciated

Marc

1) No. Returning a GC is a strong indicator that you don't have immigrant intent any more.

2) No.

3) Yes.
