A year after GC!

To JoeF and all the gurus out there,
Guys, I entered US after CP in
India, in the first week of May, 2001. I also got my
Plastic card last November. I have been with my sponsoring
employer since then (and three years overall..). In General
my terms with my employer had been good, but lately there
has been some tension. Also, we might have some major layoffs
next month. Is there anything that my employer can do, after
layoff that can cause trouble with my GC? Can they withdraw
I-140 which is the underlying basis for GC? Any help/advice
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Asma

A year after GC!!

Thanks for your response, JOeF. Just wondering,
if the company can withdraw I-140 after they lay
me off? If they do, does it affect my GC?

Thanks

I believe once you have your GC , I-140 is no more an issue , whether or not they withdrew it.

just a thought.

It is really hard for the company to prove any ill-faith on your side.

you stayed for a year. you are moving because of company\'s economic condition. I guess you are fine. Go ahead with your job search.
