A suggestion for goastros and other Senior Members

Guys:

We have all been reading about official processing date of July 2001 along with August and October 2001 and February and March 2002 approvals.

Seeing all these seemingly conflicting facts about I-485 approvals makes me wonder if TSC is approving applications in strict chronological order.

Are we missing something here? Perhaps there are two important factors that we are NOT taking into consideration. Namely, 1) country and 2) college degrees obtained in U.S. or abroad. Is it possible that certain countries are given preference over other countries? Is it possible that those with U.S. degrees are given preference over others?

The only way to know is to start collecting these data (country and degrees) for the February and March 2002 approvals. If a clear trend is there, then we might have learned something new. Otherwise, we need to go, perhaps, as back as January 2001 approvals.

Just a suggestion! What do y?all think?

nfn, based on my personal experience at my GC sponsoring company, I had realised it didn't matter which country or Eb category you belonged to.
I felt then (may 02) it was more of a Stack theory.
3 of my co-workers ( 2 from india & 1 from El Salvador) applied together 1 week before me and got approved in 4 months.
I can give you more specifics on that if you like.
I have also seen people like TR22(india) & Maybesoon(Sth africa)
& from Canada being stuck in TSc for more than 2.5 yrs.

Maybe the special registration thing could matter but for rest of the countries I don't believe it does.

But I feel your suggestion does have a good sense.
Moving forward, if everyone agrees, approvers can put their country & degree details.

I agree Goastros....

probably not degree or country. I have post this question before and most seems to think that it is random. I would like to think that there is some sense in this chaos. That's why it would be nice to hear from early approved applicants. Unfortunately we have heared so litlle from them (corect me if I'm wrong), prompting me to think that additional effort has been done whatever that is and why they are unwilling to share.

This is just my observation and cetainly I could be absolutey wrong.

It is random

TSC is definitely going by whoever has got FP done from July 01 to Jan 02. The FP issuing system is messed up so if they wait for the system to catch up they would not be approving as much as they are doing today.

As far the special registration, degree theory etc. I don't think it matters. I work at a multinational company and have personally known people from several countries, backgrounds who have got approved in the same random manner, regardless of countries.

To make it short: Pray God that your file floats up somehow on top of the approval file or develop some good connections in the political offices so that they will do this for you. ;)

Thank you very much guys.

So, random it is, I guess! AKA the ?Stack Theory? as goastros put it.

It was just a thought. I?m glad you cleared it up for me.

Thank you.

Good luck to all.
