A Small question..

Friends,

I have a question which bothers me since long time...

I completed 4 years of H1B(Apr 30 2004) and i got extension for another 2 years(May 19 2006. My wife was student(F1) here when i got married in May 2003.We both applied for I 145 last december and got our EAD cards AND AP's.

Right now my wifes status is I 485 Pending(its changed once i applied I485).

I am worried if there could be any problem in I 140 , so just want to apply H4 for my wife as a backup(inorder to maintain status just in case I140 denied).

1)can i apply H4 visa for my wife ?
2)if so,if she gets H4 visa,does her status change to H4 insted of EAD ?
3)if she leaves the country for month ,do she need to get her visa stamped for H4 visa or can she use AP to reenter to US ?

She needs to go back to her home country, get H4 stamped and then re-enter USA to be on H4 status.
