a simple explanation, please

I mailed my AOS 2007 application about three weeks ago, and I still haven't heard anything. However, I was listening to the USCIS auto-reply messages and it says something like, "all numbers for africa are current, visas are not available."

Please, what does the message mean? Does this apply to AOS as well. Does that mean its over for me? Thank you.
 
Hi,

It would help if you would indicate what your DV number is. You can leave out the last two or three numbers eg. AF2008000207xx

Nah, i think you must have been listening to the wrong voice prompt. if visas were unavailable, it would have been published on the new visa bulletin that was released this evening.
I think you should be more worried about your background check which usually takes sometime. Start contacting your congressman and senator, and have them write to USCIS so they can experdite your application. Sep 30th isn't that far from now. Good luck buddy.
