Gentleman,
What are the implications travelling abroad on Advance Parole and I-485 getting approved while you are out of the country?

Any wisdom is highly appreciated.

Hello.
I can't point you to a specific thread but I saw one thread a while back in reference to your query.

Based on my understanding of that thread, your I-485 status will not be affected even if you leave the U.S. on Advance Parole (unlike the residency requirement for a GC holder to be naturalized). However, your re-entry into the U.S. is not guaranteed even if you have Advance Parole. This is especially true, if you have ever overstayed your visa.

With that in mind, I would consider consulting a competent attorney to discuss your case and make sure you are clear to travel on Advance Parole.

Again, this is just my opinion based on what I read in this forum and not a legal opinion.
