I have a pending EAD got a FP notice then on wednesday the 7th 8 days before the appointment I got the email up date that they had sent me a decision in the case

what does that mean and what should I do?

When USCIS sent you an email update with the "sent you a decision..." USUALLY means that they have denied this case.

When they approve the card it usually says "we sent you the document..."

Good luck and I hope I am wrong but several other cases when it says decision mail it means deny...

Ccordova624 is right,
We mail you a decision means, they denied your petition.
If the petition was approved, they usually state:
We approve your petition ...
/ or we mailed the card directly to the address we have on file.

Looserd, You may be right. But nothing personal to you, and by all due respect;Let us be more respectful to one another, however we could always bring of point of debate, and stand for our opinion, or for what we believe is lawful. This forum is not for personal attacks.
I think Thankful is knowledgeable, and knows what he is talking about.

For whatever it is worth, I got the same message for my Refugee Travel Application two years ago and it turned out to be a rejection. The examiner was a new person and made a mistake. I had to reopen the case. But yes as at least three people told you the message usually means denial. I have no comment on Looser's rude and disgusting post.

I got the same answer... We mailed you our decision... and it was denied... not enough days passed or something like that (EAD)... it happened two weeks ago...

Don't bother yourself by thankfuls damn answer. In 2002 i have applied for EAD and have gotten same message as you do, and I have received my document. So, please do not diserupt yourself yet, Just wait till you get something by mail. Good luck to you.

Looks like Looserd is a loser!!!
