A# question, A# in the receipt is different from what I put in 485 form, is that happen to anyone

I just got my I-485 receipt notice. I had a A# when I got the waiver for my J-1 visa, I
used it to fill the I-485 form , it is A77***. However in my I485 notice, the A# is very
different, for that one , which is A79***, is that happens to anyone else.? Should I worry about this?

Do not worry. Check you old A#. Is it a nine digit number? Then your new A# should be a eight digit number. INS usually assigns a new A# for your I-485 application especially if the old one is a 9 digit number (usually for people who were on practical training or had some sort of work permit before - F1 and J1).

Just use this A# for FP and other correspondence hence forth.
