A few questions of my RFE. Please help

I got my RFE today ( two weeks after the email notice). It asked me to send copies of I-94, Travel document, and passport to prove and show exact dates and destination my travel after Asylum approved. Here my questions:

1: I have traveled to Thailand in year 2001 around October. Can not remember exact dates. But I didn’t keep the original RTD which has Thailand visa on it since I returned to USCIS to apply new RTD for year 2002. I didn’t keep any copies either. Can I just explain this in a letter?

2: I don’t know why they need my copies of passport since it already expired and lost. I only have a few copies.

3: I can’t remember exact travel dates, I only know it was about a week. Will I-94 copy good enough to support it?

4: My travel agent can print out the old air ticket invoice for me. Is it a good idea to submit it to USCIS too?

Thank you!!

They ask for your passport probably to check if you used/renewed it. There is a presumption that an asylee who uses or renews passport no longer needs US protection.

I dont think they are asking for NP thankful. What they are asking for is Travel Documents or passport that he used to travel to any country since grant of asylum.

This is just standard language they use for every applicant. And this is a protocol as Jack Bauer says for them to process your application.

Surprise, If you cant find ticket proof or anything. then write them a letter explaining them the dates and why you dont have the RTD(you sent it for renewal)...

As other friends pointed out, don't be too much concerned about the reasons as to why they ask. These requests for evidence is standard and is asked for everybody. Just gather all the information you can get and return them, you won't have any problem....good luch
