I entered the office distraught, demoralized but confident that God would intervene at least at this stage of the process, due that before one of the tires of my vehicle got damage in dessert and almost miss my interview, at 9:55 in Federal Plaza, New York. I presented the letter was sent to interview and sit down. About 20 minutes later, a Chinese citizen friendly, very gentle and relaxed, call my name and invited me to follow him. Quickly go through the form, I made all the right questions, I was asked to present my report of last years taxes without specifying which or how many and equally called on to give me proof that I have three children stay in the Dominican Republic, my country , which I did because I took several receipts of remittances that I put my children monthly. A friend suggested I do, and God bless her for that, because not only looked but annexed them to the file. After this I was asked the following six questions: How many Senators do We Have?, What ocean is in the East Coast?, When do we vote for president? When Was The Constitution Written? What's the capitol of your state?, What is the supreme law of the land? After it stopped and made me sign the document of the questions, where I saw was a 100 as a result as did the decision that sent me to read and write, which was: How many Senators do we have: and asked me write: We have one hundred Senators. Then he took my two photos, made me sign it at the top, he showed me a document which also made me sign validating that all my data was properly and it would come in my certifies that ... everything was excellent up there ... but suddenly and finally told me the hateful BUT ...: You've passed the test and I recommend it for approval, but because you had an arrest for driving without a license in 2008, I passed this to my supervisor for final decisions. He gave me a document saying that I passed the test of history and geography and the desicion would be mailed to me because: A dessicition CAN NOT be made. Upon leaving his office and the officer give me verbal assurances that everything will be fine and that I should receive my oath letter in no more than 120 days (although it could be just a few short weeks) left the room and he courted until corridor. It was quite the gentleman from beginning to end ... well, when I left I decided to approach the entrance window to request that the officer was called again, because although I was happy to have passed, skeptical and hesitant about the role I gave that answer, taking a box in that says Congratulations, your application will be recommended for Approval, which is not marked. By coincidence he leaned close to the window at the right moment when he was explaining that another officer, and he said, even with his smiling face: Mr. Rosario, as I said before and I fear even more than they have said was supposed to say conventionally, you do not have any problem. All is well ... i didn't check the other box because I never do, because a superior officer, supervisor, File should look first but everything will be fine, trust me. I left there: ummmm, happy on one side but full of uncertainty, disbelief, doubt ... anyway, sorry for my long story but I wanted to record everything, even collateral incidents I almost ruined the whole day.
Do you believe they will sent me the letter of swearing really happy or there will be problems in this regard? In my other traffic tickets, parking, handling, speedign, etc, the officer said nothing, not even a word, and did not put it in the application but it took all the evidence (which he did not ask me) I think that part was completely inadvertent and not worthless after all.
Your views, as always, will be very welcome and could even save a heart that, as you have noticed already, still visibly anxious and trembling.
Sincerely,
Johan de New York.-
