A couple of quick ones...

Hello Gurus,

a couple of quick questions (I hope):

1. My native country's passport expires in 3-4 months.. Could that be a problem at the interview? Is there a minimum period of time it has to be good for??

2. My interview is scheduled to take place in a sattelite location 2 hours drive from my home town. Oath ceremonies take place either there or at my home town (District Court). Would I get an option to choose a location and a date for a ceremony or they will inform me what was assigned for me? The reason I ask, if I have to do it in my home time I may have to wait a long while for there are no more ceremonies scheduled till 2013...

Thanks!

1. No, don't worry about your passport. It need not be valid. It's just for them to check your travel history if they want to. Your GC and DL serve as proof of identity.

2. You will probably have to wait for an oath date at your courthouse. You can ask the IO about this.
