Hi There,
I used a lawyer to go through the whole visa process for me. I am an E-1 who has since married and is going through AOS application as well as EAD.
I have a couple of questions I was hoping you could answer:
1. How long does it usually take on average for USCIS to acknowledge receipt of your documents? My lawyer sent them out around a week ago and they have not told me yet of any receipt (they are usually a little slow keeping me in the loop).
2. Once they have acknolwedged receipt, how long does it take to receive all of the USCIS receipt numbers so I can track my case's status online?
3. I currently reside in the burbs of Detroit, MI. Which service center will my documents be processed in? Are they all going to get sent to that one office, or will they break them down and lets say, send my EAD to the Detroit local office, the AOS to Texas Service Center and the rest to the Nebraska center.
4. What office have people in the Michigan area found their applications processed at?
