Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me NSC's local contact number (402 number , not 800) or a fax number? I need to call them or fax them to make corrections as my A# on FP2 is different from A# on I-485.

I am planning to send a letter also. May I know whom should I address to, is there any separate dept for corrections ?

thanks in advance,
- Flam

same boat

I am in the similiar situation as yours. My FP2 A# is different from FP1 A# and I485 RD A#. My RD is 01/2002, replied RFE 09/2003, still waiting. I contact 800#, senator office, lawer, the answer from senator is my two A# was consolidated into one. I don't know what happen really to my case, just keep waiting. I sent letter including the copies of FP2 and I485 receipt and never got response.

Since your RD is 01/2002, you should have got your approval by now, may be because of this A# mistake, it's getting delayed. What I feel is, when they get FP and Name Check results, it may not match with the person on I-485
and leads to further delay eventhough you case is ready for adjudication.

May I know What kind of RFE you got ?

I clarified with Rajivji yesterday that, the A# must be same for each person on all petitions. In my case, even EAD1 & EAD2 both has same number but different from the A# on I-485. And FP is same as yours...

What do you think is the best way to resolve this ? I am also planning to send a letter to make corrections, to CIS local service center and NSC as well.

Since we are in the same situation, can we share our emailid' so that we can communicate. If so, let me know.

Thanks,
- Flam

How did this happen (1st A# diferent from 2nd A#). Was it a typo or did you provide a different subsitute number (eg. we substitute the TIN number in case we do not have SSN number for dependents) in your 1st FP?

Can you pl clarify? Appreciate it.

No substitute number given

Hi Lucky 65,

I did not give any substitute number. This error has been generated by NSC...

thanks,

Hi Flam,
I have the same feeling, seeing my friends with Apr, May 2002 RD already got approval 2 month ago, just wondering why I have the luck with more than one A#. I have no clue why INS/CIS is generous to me. The RFE I have is just Employment letter and EAD copies. The lawyer had sent some inquiry letter to INS without any response. I called 800# and was told the current processing date is ../2001, I have to wait until ... I don't think the A# difference is a typo since one start with 095... and the other start with 079...
You are welcome to send me private messages and the more we discuss, the clearer we may know how to solve this issue.

I can relate..

I had the same problem. My RD is 08/2002. One of my EADs was denied because of A# problems(same A# was assigned to two people). They assigned me a new one after numerous visits to local INS office. I am just hoping that when my time comes, everything will work just fine
