A 10-Year Green Card

Hi Good People,

I applied for and received a Green Card based on a marriage to a USC. However, when the Green Card arrived in the mail, it was issued for 10 years. Our marriage is less than a year and so I was thinking I should have been issued with a 2 year conditional card.
Has anybody experienced a similar thing or can anybody advice me on the next course of action, please.

I have a same question too. whats the difrence between 2 years old and 10 years old and why some people get the 2 year old instead of the other one?
 
My understanding is that if at the time the green card is issued, your marriage is less than 2 years old, you will get a conditional green card. It's then your responsbility to petition to remove that condition later.

Having said that, I don't know why you were issued a 10-year one.
 
I remember some other posts where this happened. They called the support line and got a 2-year card sent to them(I think they needed to sent the other one back). This seems like a common mistake.
