980 Days ? AVM says I485 processing takes 980 days

gsk, just relax. I heard it may take 999 days before. It\'s already a big improvement ;-). INS really did a good job. They cut 19 waiting days -- so impressive!

Don\'t worry about that. It said 999 for mine. I got my I-485 approval within 6 months. They are just trying to cover their a@#.
VMS said that my I-140 should take between 180 to 210 days but it actually took over a year and half. Many people compalined, so they changed their message to say 999. I assume they had similar trouble with I-485 and they changed all the dates to the maximum allowable by the computer. It probably only had 3 digit limit or they would have put 9,999 days ;-)
