Hello Gurus,
I filed my I-485 process on Jan 31 2003. I have been checking my Status online for AP, EAD, FP and 485 processess.

When I checked for I-131 status (Travel Document), I see the following
"
Your I131 APPLICATION FOR BCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT was received at this office on January 31, 2003. It is taking between 969 and 999 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

Has anyone got this type of message?? 969 to 999 days ie around 2-1/2 years....

Thanks,
Aravind

It's likely a typo mistake.

I had seen other type cases with that long time.
If this is true you can get compensated and consoled by applying for Guinness world record for a simple travel document.
You just :D at BCIS. Don't  .

Clarification

here's the clarification for this issue published in the parent website of these forums (www.immigration.com):

Re-Entry Permit Receipts Giving Wrong Processing Time

Recently members have received re-entry permit receipts from the NSC with a 900+ day processing time. This is not accurate. Reentry Permits are actually taking about 180 to 190 days. The confusion stems from the fact the NSC must choose one of five categories under which to place the I-131 for the purpose of generating the receipt notice, it is using the HRIFA category. This category does, in fact, take over 900 days. The NSC "defaulted" to the HRIFA category for generation of receipt notices because it experienced some problems with the production of Reentry Permits.

Pork Chop, So when would I get the Travel Document

So Porkchop,
Should I get my Travel Document between 180 to 190 days?? DId NSC send corrected Receipts or notification tothe members waiting for the Travel Document/AP?

Thanks

that's what the posting from rajiv khanna's office would suggest. however, i don't think any AP applicant who got this time estimate on their receipt notice has actually received their AP yet, as this is still a new enough development.

NCS will definitely not send out corrected receipt notices. you should get the actual APs whenever their processing is done.
