90 days before qualification question

Yes you are correct, but it does say full middle name IF APPLICABLE
IMHO if you put your name exactly as it appears on the green card and the card has only an initial then the full middle name is not applicable.

They already have your full middle name from your previous entry so there should be no problem.

I filled mine out this way and so far have had the NOA and completed fingerprints with no comments.

Thanks McTavish, that gives me some confidence (need it at this stage), I will your footstep.

I got my PR on 01/15/2004. Technically, I should be eligible to apply by 10/14/2008(based on 90 days rule).
Here I am ready to file form N400, everything filled-out and ready to go.
Is it safe to send it out over this week-end(say on 10/18/2008). Or should I wait another week just to be on the safer-side.
Best Regards

Hi imihelp,

I got my PR on exact same date. I am planning to file next week after listening to Huracan, Bobysmith and Jackolantern. May be mail it on 21st.

Experts, Any advise on how to mail it, overnight, priority mail or just regular?

TIA.

Hi Atl_citizen;

Eventhough, a day shouldn't make a big difference, I am planning to sign it and send it on Monday 10/20. I think it should be alright. They should receive it on 10/21. I think it goes by the receipt date, which is usually a couple of days after the mail gets there.

Hi imihelp,

How are you planning to mail the application? Are you in TSC?

TIA.

Yes, I have to send it to TSC. I am planning to send via USPS express mail. Fedex or any other courier service will not deliver to a PO BOX. Express mail will deliver the next day and it has tracking facility.
Cheers.

Thanks imihelp, wish you the speedy approval.

Once again, I need some help on what documents to send along with application.

I have gone thru the N-476 and none of the conditions apply to me. I am applying based on 5 years criteria, me married only once to my current spouse, same with my spouse, filed all the tax returns on time, selective services doesn't apply to me, never involved in crime or citation (except one speeding ticket, which I am not planning to mention, fine was $275).

Should I just send fees, N-400, black and white copy of front&back of green card and 2 color photographs.

Should I send anything else? (copy of tax returns, copy of marriage certificate etc).

Thanks a bunch.

Hi imihelp,
if you don't mind let me know what are you sending.
Thanks.

atl_citizen,

My case is almost similar as yours. However I have 2 speeding tickets, which I am Inclining to mention. It should not affect the processing any way, so thought of just mentioning it.

Speeding-ticket- Citation only <location> No-contest;Paid $124 fine on x/x/x

The following are the documents that I am sending in:

1) N400
2) Front and back of the GC
3) Check for $675
4) 2 recent Passport photos with my name written on the back using a pencil.

That's all(Experts please correct me if I am missing anything here). I am not even planning to include a cover letter.

I do have documents regarding my traffic tickets with me , however I do not have to send those in because it involves "minor traffic offense , NO DUI, No arrest and penalty of less than $500 ". But in case if the IO asks for a proof of payment, I will have it ready at the time of the interview.

Hope this helps.

Hi imihelp,

One suggestion, on the photo, you need to mention A number also according M-176 page 33.

Hi imihelp or others,

When you send by express mail, do you strike off the option of signature required?

Thx.

atl_citizen;
On the contrary, I did check 'Signature Waiver' an signed underneath it. For Express mails, requiring a signature can cause to delay the delivery.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for reply.

I did exactly opposite, I did not check it off. I wanted to, but then post office guy told that we will have to fold the package to make it fit in the PO Box, which I did not want. Looks like it will delay my the application. Hope they don't reject it completely because if signature thing.

I think you are fine as it may get delivered on the same day or at the latest by the next day.
Bear in mind, the PO boxes for large entities such as the INS are not the regular sized mail-boxes that you see at the post offices. These mail boxes some times exist right near the INS location and consist of large containers / storages at each sections. These are capable of accepting tens of thousands of packages daily and have arrangements with the postal authorities to have delivered to these facilities.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I realized it after sending it. Oh well, it is stuck there currently for someone to pick up. Let see what happens. Thanks for the inputs.
