8th Year H1b and H4 Extension

I am on 7th year h1b and need to file for 8th year extension (on base of approve I-140 and waiting for CP), my wife and kids are living in Canada (landed immigrant).

My question is.

My wife and kids has to be in physically in US for their H4 extension? Do they need send a copy of I-94? Or only I need to send I -94 copy?

If your dependents are not lining in the U.S. you need not file H-4 extension. They can join you either with the unexpired H-4 stamp or to get a new H-4 stamp (based on your H-1B approval) from the U.S. consulates of your home country.
