8th Year H1 and Wierd Situation

All,

I am on 8th Year H1 Extension. Also my Labour just came and my Co. did file the I-140 as well few days ago. Now with the new current 485 we are getting ready to file that too.

But Just came to know on friday that Out Co. is laying off lot of people and i am one of them.
Now what should I do. In this case I have to leave US and go back to India.

Please help me, what should I do.....

I was also told I can file another Labour with another Co. and file for I-140 (saying as a future hire for that Co.) Is this possbile?

Any help in this matter will be very helpful

if your LC was filed more than a year ago, you can still transfer H1 to other companies to get 9th year, but you have to start over your GC process from scratch.

Thanks for the reply. My LC was filed in feb 2005 and got cleared in feb 2007.
with the above scenario I can transfer the H1
