8th year extension

Hi Ginnu / Gurus,



I have to apply for 8th year extension ..... for 7th year extension i got a letter from department of state showing the recieval date of my LC application of GC ...........wondering if I could use the same letter for 8th year extension too....

Or should I get onemore latest letter from Dept of state?

----- Department of State?? what they have to do with your LC? I hope you got LC filing reciept from SWA or SESA becase LC is filed with SWA or SESA and NOT with Department of State. if you have Reciept of LC filing for you from SESA or SWA no need of new reciept

------- you can use the same SESA or SWA LC reciept for 8th year H1 extension filing

------ NO, FYI Department of State does not privide LC filing reciepts and have nothing to do with LC or I-140 or I-485.

Thanks for quick reply.
Yes the letter was from DOL dated june 11th, 2003.
Stating my case number and recieval date of
"APPLICATION FOR ALIEN EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATION".

So it should work.. for 8th year too...????

Any new changes in requiremets for extension?
