AC140 or 824 special processing - Montreal

for AC140 or "I-824 Special Processing", along with the 824 receipt and other docs. can I just send an internet downloaded packet 3 so that the process goes faster, rather than waiting for p3 from NVC?

AC-140 Montreal

I am reasonably certain that Montreal does not accept AC-140. In fact, most of the processing involved with this consulate is done in New Hampshire and Washington DC. Send them an E-mail and ask: montreal-iv/dv@state.gov.

i-824 special proc.

Yes Brian, you are right they do not do AC140. However, they do something called a "i-824 special processing" in which you do not have to have 824 approved. I can just send in the 824 receipt along with 140 approval to NVC. NVC then send me p3. I guess my question was more like can I send in p3 with these docs to save time. (without the barcoded letter from them)

Very interesting. I've been reading Grasmick's website for 5 years and never came across this. I have never heard of anybody using this process. Please tell us how it goes.
