7yr extension from California

Hi,

My H-1 is getting expired in July (04).A california based company holds my H11B, but I am on Project in NYC since one year.I have to apply for my 7th year extension based on my Labour which was filed in Sep 2002.

I have heard that in California ppl are not getting 7th year of extension.Is this true?One of my freinds has to leave for India as his 7th year got rejected due to the reason that there are no jobs in the state(California).I just want to know is this reason valid enough for rejection?
Can one get rejection on this basis??
Please give ur inputs as I have to apply for my extension soon?
Has anyone faced this problem????

it may not or cannot be true

your friends 7th year extension denial may be someother issue.

you can appeal such denial.

----- Get the LC filling receipt from lawyer who filed LC, that receipt is from SESA or SWA that has your PD and case# and your name on it. Get the copy of that letter as evidence of LC filing date if it is more than 365 days file for 7th year extension

---- Who told you the reasons of your friend 7th year h1 denial? Did you read the denial letter and reasons for denial given by BCIS? His case may be having other issues and every case is different
