7th year H1 transfer

I am in the 7th year of my H1 now (sixth year ended Sep 2006). My curent H1 expires Feb 2008 (reclaimed the time I spent outside US). I want to change companies at this point of time. I do not have a pending/approved labor application right now. My extension was filed using pending labor from my previous company. I dont know the status of that labor filing - if its withdrawn, pending or denied.

Is it possible for me to transfer H1 at this stage to a new company?I already have extension till Feb 2008, can the new compnay hire me till feb 2008. If not is it possible to join a new company using a substituted labor? Is that the only option?

You can transfer your H1 and get your 8th year extention based on your previous compnay LC pending provided which is not cancelled or withdrawn from the previous employer.

Is it possible for one to change jobs after the 7th year H1-B extension?
almost a year is still left on the extension.
