7th year extension

My 6th years expires on Sept 15, 2003. I am leaving to India on Sept 15, 2003.

However, I have applied for my labor in December 12, 2002.

1)Can I apply for my 7th year extension through premium processing next week before leavign the country?

or

2)Should I wait for Dec 12, 2003 to apply for 7th year extension while working with my offshore project in India?

Please advise the best option.
