7th year extension plus change of employer

My 6 years is getting over on may 03rd 2006. My company has filed for my seventh year extension already based on the screenshot from the labor department which was filed on jan 10 2005.

In the meantime my client where i am working is offering me an full time position.

Is that possible to change my employer now and get my h1 transferred. If it is possible how do i get my eighth year extension without labor from the new company. Do they have to apply for labor immediately once i start working for them.
