7th year extension -need help

Hi Guys,

My H1 will expire in April, 2002. I applied for I-140 and I have to get the extension. I have couple of question..

My current company applied for my H1 before three year and that LCA certificate is valid upto 10/19/2001. The question is , do I need to get
first eight month extnsion and then I have to apply for the second extension in APril ,2002 ? Or I can apply for the 7th year extension
right now ?

DO I need to apply for the H1-extesion twice - one for the official six
year limit and second one is for the 7th year extension ? if so, do I need to pay $1000 feee two times? Also , Can I travel during the 7th year extension? DOS allow visa stamping for 7th year extension ?

My 6yr period is ending Feb 2002 and the current H1 was expiring in July 2001,

so I applied for 7th yr extension also along with the new H1 in July, got approval also, refer to my earlier post for details...

I saw your entry in cptracker as being changed to AOS. Could you please let me/us know why you changed to AOS. Was it due to no time left in the H-1B (6 year limit problems?)
