7th year extension based on H1 and GC from different companies

Hi,
Currently I am working for company "B" and they hold my H1.

I used to work for company "A" which had applied for my GC.
The labor which was applied through this company will probably
be pending until Dec 2003.

So using company A's pending labor can I apply for 7th year extension for a H1 i hold from company B.

any feedback at the earliest will be of great help.
regards,
VG

So can i safely assume that my 7th year extension will be approved based on the above scenario and not hurriedly process a new labor through the new company ?

some other basic questions regarding the same issue:

a. even though i have left company "A" is the labor still valid from INS point of view?
b. Is LC / GC process similar to H1 which can be
applied multiple times through different companies simaltaneously.
c. if "b" is true, at what point of GC processing do i need to pick which company i want to work for.

thanks in advance,
VC

Dear Jim

As your response says that H1 and GC need not to be from same company. I have a follow-up question.

I was with company A and got my LC approval two years back. Now I am with company B , can I still get 7th year extension based on labor from company A.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards
Arvind
