Was gobbling breakfast when I got a call on my cell from a 214 area code number. I ignored it for two rings (I was eating a boiled egg, and focused on food, but something in my head said - this could be TX).
Caller said from USCIS in TX, asked if I had time to talk, I (of course) said "Absolutely". Caller confirmed my DOB, Farther and Mother's names, mailing address. Checked if I had a previous I-485 filed. Asked if I was single. Then said, "Congratulations, as of now, you are a Permanent Resident of the US. Your Online status will be updated tommorrow and you should receive a card within a week". I thanked the caller. Call lasted 2 mins 47 seconds - very surreal - like being in a film.
Within 2.5 hours the online status was updated to "Card Production Ordered". Fingers crossed for actual card.
I will do my best to keep this thread updated with my experience/responses. All the best to those still waiting.

Congrats on successful approval !!!

Hi:
Congrats on successful approval !! Must have been a remarkable experience to get a personal call...

A couple of questions if you dont' mind.
1. Did the caller ask any Employment related questions ? Why you changed your job, compensation etc. ?

2. Are you the only applicant or do you have any derivatives ? Just wondering if that matters at all..

THANX !!!

sannams: Was your name check was cleared ? did u confirmed before approval ? I called the FBI fingerprint division and they told me FP were clear and returned to USCIS the same day I was fingerprinted (...). I also went for an infopass and the lady told me security checks were clear, but I dont know if she did anything at all or was just saying something to make me go away. As you can see from this forum - generally there is a lot of mis-information and you never know who is giving you accurate info (quite possibly bc nobody knows exactly what is going on).

-RE Employment - no, did'nt ask any questions at all. I think they were just going through the basic level of validation to make sure that they had rudimentary data correct (name/DOB/address).
-RE Derivatives - I am single (he did ask if I was still single - as I was when I filed). If I had said 'no', maybe they would search for 'accompanying' applications.
