Hi All ,
My current EAD is going to expire in 50 days , my company hasn't filed for EAD extension yet. BCIS recommends you to allow them 90 days before you can walk in to local INS office and get a "interim" EAD extension same day.

Now is it something I should be panicking since in this case BCIS wouldn't get 90 days ? I have asked my company lawer to file for extension IMMEDIATELY.

Did any one have had similiar experience ? please help me to learn what problem(s) I might run into !!!

thanks.

There is a good chance that your EAD renewal application gets approved within 50 days. Otherwise, you would have to sit on the bench for the period you don't have a valid EAD.

There will be no impact on any other GC applications..

Ask them to file online...

that will save some time.... If you file through regular method, you have to take photographs, send it with application etc... If you or your attorney file online - you will get the EAC number online and you can take the photos on a later date at the local application support center. I got my EAD in 45 days, after E-filing on my own. My company never bothered to ask me about the extension. We have to be cautious my friend.
I am afraid, if you don't get the card in 50 days, you cannot continue to work, you can't get the interim EAD, if it is not pending for atleast 90 days! Please check with a good attorney.
