Tax transcripts are typically asked if you need to prove continuous residence, marriage to US citizen or if you owe back taxes. If you don't fall under one of these categories, you would likely not be asked to provide them at interview.
My case is very simple, 5yr LPR based with few trips and no tax problems. But I am requesting tax transcripts from IRS and planning to carry them with me to the interview, incase they ask. I would be very disappointed if for any reason they were asked, and it delays the process because I don't have them.
