5 months passed since RD without FP notice. what should I do?

Hey guys, need your valuable input here. 5 months have passed since my RD of 3/22/02 (ND is 4/10/02) and I have yet to receive FP notice. I am in NJ and will do FP in Newark INS office. Is there anybody on the same boat as me? Called IIO nearly two months ago but didn't get much useful info. What should I do? Can I write to INS? I tried to call again recently but never succeed. The phone is always busy.

I am concerned because I remember seeing one thread saying that his/her file was put on the wrong queue. I don't want the same thing happening on myself. Please offer your advice.

Pl give 6 months from ND

if you live in NJ/MD and then call IIO..there is nothing you can do , but wait..easy to say..Usually in MD and some parts of NJ the normal trend is receiving FP notice afer 5 months from ND..
 
I went thru similar experience

My RD is 8/8/01 and I recd the FP notice somewhere early march 2002. My FP was scheduled in April 2002.

Don't worry you will get it sooner or later.

Roran, when you say certain portion of NJ, which portion do you mean? I am in Northen NJ (close to City of Newark and Holland Tunnel if you know of).

Shiwdeep, are you also from NJ? If so which part? Did the FP notice arrive about 6 months after your ND date as Roran mentioned in his posts?

I guess I wasn't among the lucky ones. I know a lady from my Hubby's office with RD of December 2001 already got her RFE notice a few days ago. She's an Indian and also from NJ.

I am also in the same boat.

My RD is 03/22/2002 and RD is 04/10/2002(State is MD). So I am also waiting for FP notice. Last month, I also spoke to IIO, but in vain. Then i spoke with my attorney about this. so they are saying that I should talk to IIO again. Still if i dont get the answer, then they are asking me to go to local office(i.e., Baltimore office) and ask for FP status.

I am not so much sure whether I will get any answer by talking to IIO. But I dont know whether the local INS center will be able to give any leads about FP notice.

Bottomline, I am just waiting in the dense tropical forest without any directions.

Is there anyone else out there on the same boat? There was previously a thread for unlucky filers with ND of 4/8/02 - 4/10/02 but it died because no one kept it alive, I guess.

What about March2002Tracker? I remember he posted on the March 2002 Tracking thread that he got his FP notice some time ago. Can you confirm with us here? Thanks.
