485 X'ed to local office and being laid off

My 485 was x'ed to local INS office and I am expecting interview call some time in Nov or Dec. Due to lack of work/project, my employer is going to lay off on end of this month. Employer is willing to put me on leave of absence with loss of pay until I get interview call.

Q1 What's the effect on my interview if I go on leave of absence ?
Q2 Can I go on leave of absence until my interview ?
Q3 Will Ins require any documentation? Obviosly I will not have pay stubs to show when gone on leave of absence.
Q4 Has somebody gone through this and can share experience ?
Q5 What are my options apart from finding a job ?

My 2 Cents

1) Request your current employer to postpone 2 salary payments that are due now to the month of November/ December. This could account for your pay stubs for those months.
2) Keep looking out for a job. You still have 4-5 months. You could be lucky.
3) If you have a good bank balance you could even have a desi guy recruit you and show that you have a job but make salary payments to you using your own money. Slightly tricky but these things happen.
