485 vs Employee status

Should a person be an employee of the company at the time of Applying for 485 ? In other words, if I am getting my GC being sponsored through a company of which I am NOT an employee, should I join the company as an employee when I apply for 485 ? If that is not necessary, can you shed light on the possible issues if a 485 is applied this way,

Thanks. If I opt to go ahead and file for 485 w/o joining that company, can I also file for the EAD and Parole along with 485 ? Do you know if that is possible - I'm more concerned about the EAD ...

Of course you can file for the EAD and AP. All they require is a pending I-485.
